Transcript of remarks by Sen. Bill Nelson (D-Fla.) on former CIA Director David Petraeus’s testimony on the Benghazi consulate attack at a press briefing on Nov. 16, 212:

Sen. Bill Nelson (D-Fla.): The Chairman and the Vice Chairman will be coming and making a statement. I think it’s important that the character of the U.N. Ambassador be clarified.

And it is our understanding from hearing two days of testimony that, in fact, what the U.N. Ambassador stated was the talking points that had been given, approved, declassified to the House Intelligence Committee and that’s what she, I am told, re-stated.

And this member of the Intelligence Committee is absolutely convinced were an accurate reflection of the entire intelligence community that could be said at that time in a declassified manner.

Question: The issue here that there were talking points or there were information that were classified…

Sen. Bill Nelson (D-Fla.): Well, there are many issues here but I want the Chairman and the Vice Chairman to speak as to the U.N. Ambassador.
