Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on why she wasn’t interviewed by the Accountability Review Board. The Senate Foreign Relations Committee hearing on the attacks against the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya was held on Jan. 23, 2013:
First, I was not asked to speak with the Accountability Review Board
during their investigation. The specific issues they were looking at
regarding the attack on Benghazi were handled by security
professionals in the department and that’s where the ARB focused.
Obviously, if they had thought that I was relevant or had information
that would have helped the investigation, I would have gladly
discussed that with them at their request.
